We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for high-end residential design, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Design Development: Assist in creating and developing design concepts for high-end residential projects
  • Project Support: Support senior designers and project managers throughout the design process, including research, sourcing materials, and preparing presentations
  • Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings, site visits, and presentations to ensure design solutions align with client expectations
  • Technical Drawings: Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit)
  • Material Selection: Help select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures that meet the design brief and budget
  • Budget Management: Assist in preparing project budgets and cost estimates, ensuring design solutions are financially feasible
  • Vendor Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and services
  • Documentation: Maintain organized project files, documentation, and correspondence to ensure smooth project execution

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in interior design, preferably in high-end residential projects
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, space planning, and furniture design
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: NCIDQ certification or progress towards certification is a plus
