Job Description:

The Director of Engineering will be responsible for effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision-making to attain desirable profit-making results for the Engineering Division.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for formulating and administering company policies, directing, and coordinating all Engineering department activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives
  • Responsible for the review of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives
  • Responsible for the direct training and mentoring of subordinates in the Engineering Division on management philosophies, techniques, leadership, and routine policies and procedures
  • Responsible for directing, leading, and managing the sales of the Engineering Division and working in cooperation with the traditional product sales force and marketing department to maximize the overall potential and profit contributions
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement
  • Actively participates in feedback sessions and performance evaluations of Engineering Division team members
  • Participates in weekly and monthly management meetings to review the status of the business
  • Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner; follow all Safety Guidelines

Qualifications

Education:


Experience & Skills:

  • At least 10 years of related experience required
  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product development

Travel

Travel for this position is less than 50%
