The Senior Manager, Specialty Pharmacy Services Marketing supports the development and execution of the overall orals/self-administered products value narrative and marketing strategy. Your activities are organized around driving strategic marketing support in positioning McKesson as the premier provider of orals and self-administered products, support, and services to independent specialty providers, biopharma, and payers.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Make recommendations and execute on thoughtful marketing strategies to drive the orals business goals with an acute focus on accelerating growth and improving customer retention across key audiences, including specialty providers, biopharma and payers
Leverage market research and insights on the orals and specialty pharmacy landscape to continually refine the value proposition and messaging and ensure it stands out from the competition
Serve as a strategic partner by developing deep relationships and collaborating closely with business and sales leaders to better understand the sales cycle, customer challenges and opportunities to inform messaging and strategies that support McKesson’s comprehensive orals solution
Create Content & Promotions to Showcase our Value Proposition
Successfully deliver high-impact customer-facing and sales and account management support content and collateral that can be used across all channels to effectively communicate the value of our orals and Biologics businesses and support the achievement of business priorities
Engage with customers directly to gather feedback on needs, pain points and success stories to create compelling content, such as case studies and testimonials
Collaborate with the business and customer-facing teams to identify and execute on campaigns and thought leadership that communicates our leading position in the space and helps win new orals business and retain existing business
Act as an internal champion for coordinated promotion across our specialty practices, connecting the dots to tie together our various marketing efforts across all teams and channels
Work with Quality to support Biologics’ URAC re-accreditation
Measure results, including marketing’s contribution to the top line of the business
Evaluate current state marketing processes and make recommendations to marketing and business leadership, regularly bring innovative ideas to business partners and champion the impact the marketing organization has to the business
Communicate budget requests to marketing leadership and manage external vendor relationships as needed
Support the creation and execution of marketing plans
Partner with the broader McKesson Provider Marketing team and the corporate marketing team to share ideas, align, and execute activities that tell our story in a meaningful way across multiple solutions
Work with Provider Marketing leadership and other stakeholders to understand project goals and their alignment with business priorities and facilitate input from field-facing teams, subject matter experts, Legal, Compliance, and others
Minimum Requirements
7+ years of professional marketing experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience
Healthcare industry experience, preferably with healthcare providers, specialty pharmacy, pharmaceutical services, provider or payer relations
Critical Skills
3-5+ years experience developing business-to-business marketing plans and executing activities that achieve revenue goals (e.g., product go-to-market, brand and lead generation campaigns, event strategy, etc.)
Excellent communicator – an eloquent speaker, a crisp writer, and PowerPoint wizard
Confidently manage stakeholders to routinely interact and influence an executive-level audience
Experience successfully managing high-visibility projects in a complex, matrix organization
Strong critical thinking, analytic, and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and proactive project management
Ability to act independently with sound business judgment and emotional maturity
Vendor sourcing and management experience
Knowledge of company products and services
Education
4-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience
Salary: 93,400.00 - 124,500.00 - 155,600.00 USD Annual (Target 125K with 20% MIP)
