To be successful as a Network Engineer, you should be able to identify the most optimal network solutions for our digital platforms in accordance with best practices and company security policies. You understand the nuances of different network solutions (Wireless, Data Center, Extranet, Campus, PCN/SCADA) and implications for solution design. The Network Engineer will apply excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and be a team player.
As a Network Engineer, you will:
Design, implement, and maintain business and industrial communication solutions to solve business problems and provide value to a wide variety of business functions.
Participate in the design, implementation and troubleshooting of our global network infrastructure
Gather requirements and interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders to design and engineer our global network infrastructure
Create technical design documentation (HLD, LLD, Network Diagrams, and implementation/test plan)
Provide comprehensive tier-3 support for the operational teams
Interact with global peers within the network design, operation and across other support teams, to solve the more challenging escalated problems as well as simple to the more complex change implementations
Implement and maintain processes, procedures, and associated plans for network infrastructure including administration, usage, and disaster recovery
Document standard operating procedures, diagrams, and training materials for use by the team
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer
Experience in a network engineering role focusing on enterprise and/or service provider network design and administration
Hands-on experience in BGP routing operation, design, and troubleshooting for Enterprise or Services Provider networks
Extensive experience of the Internet, MPLS Core (MP-BGP, L2VPN, etc.), Juniper M/MX series, and Junos
Working experience of Data Center networks (Cisco Nexus, Catalyst with FabricPath, VXLAN, VPC, etc.), WLAN (Aruba, Cisco).
Working experience of Software Defined Networks (SDN), Network Function virtualization (NFV) and Cloud applications
Comprehensive knowledge in IP, data communications and cloud engineering with an understanding and experience dealing with multi-service IP networks, data network strategies, multi-vendor equipment and network protocols
Ability to lead the adoption and deployment of new architectural standards of network technologies across the enterprise to fulfill business requirements
Demonstrates ability to translate business requirements into deployed standardized and operationally sustainable technical solutions
Exceptional written and oral communication skills are essential, customer focus, and ability work with both technical and non-technical people.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/Science or related/equivalent experience
Working experience with Azure networking, Internet Exchange, Cloud Exchange
Scripting experience using Python, Ansible is a plus
Minimum level of certification achieved - CCNP Enterprise Certifications, JNCIP-ENT/SP Certifications is an added advantage
Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships at all levels with operations, design, projects, vendors, peers, etc.
SAFe Certified Agilist or experience working in global Agile scrum teams is a plus
