Job Description:
As part of the global controls and construction teams, you will work with highly motivated engineers, designers, experts, and innovators in the industry. You will be responsible for, deploying, and optimizing the automation and monitoring systems within CyrusOne s. Systems include building management systems (), infrastructure management (DCIM), and electrical power monitoring system (EPMS). You will develop new processes and standards while innovating in the controls space.
You will also be able to grow your career on both technical and management tracks.
Essential Functions:
- Define and manage the scope, and schedule of, DCIM, and EPMS vendors during the construction of CyrusOne s.
- Compile and distribute all RFP documentation and engage vendors to obtain quotes
- Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables, and requirements, and navigate complex situations.
- Review controls sequence of operation and provide feedback to design teams.
- Financially manage EPMS construction contracts and assist in procurement-related activities including RFPs, responding to RFIs, review of vendors' proposals, and issuance of purchase orders.
- Perform a comprehensive review of various EPMS submittals.
- Ensure an EPMS system is being deployed in accordance with the scope of work (SOW) and specifications.
- Review and provide feedback on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings.
- Attend project-related meetings, coordinate with project leaders, and regularly report status to Construction management.
- Work under tight project timelines.
- Competent with running simultaneous projects and managing jobs with competing priorities.
- Interpret control drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Interpret/vet controls bill of material (BOM).
- Manage vendors to support Controls related Commissioning activities in field.
- Maintain regular communications with construction GCs and their subs to ensure supervise control vendor’s work to ensure compliance with the design, submittal, and applicable local electrical codes (NEC, etc.).
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience with industrial controls in critical environments preferred (, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, oil & gas, petrochemical, laboratory, power, water, etc.).
- Proven track record for cultivating strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, or customers.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills, collaboration, teamwork, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Five (5) years of Controls related experience is preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Controls or Electrical construction project management; Coordination with multiple teams or vendors to meet project requirements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Education:
- High School diploma required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
