Job Description:
The Bournville Logistics engineer will review the logistics operations to improve its operational efficiency.
You will look for performance improvements & productivity in areas including transportation, shipment & logistics operations. You will work closely with other engineers, logistics team members, and production managers & make recommendations to improve the efficiency of our logistical operations within the manufacturing unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse inventory, process orders, warehouse layouts & asset performance including palletiser robots & conveyors to fully understand losses and provide recommendations based on their loss data to the Logistics Technical Lead and Logistics Manager.
- Conduct physical inventories and adjust and/or maintain spare inventory levels.
- Participate in weekly section review and present technical information & loss analysis
- Perform logistics analysis to identify parts, equipment, activities, and skillsets necessary to maintain systems and retain operational availability.
- Coordinate with other team members regarding analysis results & ensure that action is taken accordingly.
- VSM trained or willing to be trained as a priority. VSM lead for the site & IL6E E2E pillar member.
- Focuses on, but is not limited to robots/ palletisers, conveyors, warehousing, transport, inbound and outbound, material movements, inventory levels
- As a logistics engineer, you will apply scientific and mathematical engineering principles to improve the efficiency of our assets. You will evaluate all aspects and methods of the Bournville supply chain to improve efficiency.
