Responsibilities
Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join the End User Computing Systems Administration team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Led the planning, implementation, and management of the M365 environment, including Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint Online, Teams, Azure Active Directory, and OneDrive for Business.
- Manage user identities and access, ensuring secure provisioning and de-provisioning processes.
- Collaborate with the Information Security team to implement and maintain security measures, threat protection, and data loss prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify gaps in services and implement best practice solutions.
- Design, implement, and administer workstations, print servers, and backup services.
- Automate workstation patching for both Windows and Mac endpoints.
- Own the workstation imaging process and ensure it is being updated with drivers, updates, and changes as necessary, and ensure solutions are appropriately tested and documented prior to deployment.
- Provide peer review for change requests ensuring they meet our technical standards.
- Work with vendors as necessary for 3rd party app troubleshooting and implementation.
- Efficiently prioritize and triage issues and maintain a culture of root cause analysis.
- Take the initiative to improve our operations and stay educated on the latest relevant technologies.
- Implement automation to improve engineer and end-user efficiency.
- Consistently follow organizational policies, such as change, incident, and problem management.
- Take part in the development of technical processes and documentation.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in a technical field or evidence of exceptional ability.
- 4+ years in a systems administration role focused on end-user computing.
- Advanced understanding of Windows profile management, group policy, folder redirection, Windows registry, and other core operating system technologies.
- Advanced experience with Windows 10 deployments (imaging, driver management, troubleshooting).
- Advanced experience with endpoint management systems (such as Intune, SCCM, and Jamf).
- Advanced experience automating processes using PowerShell.
- Advanced administration experience in M365 and Azure Entra ID / Active Directory.
- Experience implementing technology according to strong security guidelines.
- Strong grasp of multi-factor authentication technologies.
- A strong understanding of networking principles.
- Must possess initiative and analytical skills to resolve issues before they become critical.
- Must possess strong people skills and the ability to work as a team member, collaborating and partnering with others to address issues.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, verbally, and in writing, keeping the right people informed of relevant issues as well as understanding and executing oral and written instructions.
- Able to adapt to changes in a dynamic work environment.
- Must have a propensity for knowledge gathering and sharing.
- Must be self-motivated, able to respond quickly when on-call, and willing to work outside the core area.
- Must possess a passion for technology and take the initiative to stay educated on the latest and most relevant technologies and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, Opsgenie, and Statuspage.
- Experience with the following systems:
- Jenkins
- GitHub
- Duo
- Passwordstate
- Understanding of various types of certificates (e.g., SSL/TLS, code signing, email encryption).
- Understanding of encryption algorithms, cryptographic hash functions, and digital signatures.
- Ability to automate certificate issuance and renewal using Windows PKI.
