Job Description
AECOM’s Water Business Line is actively seeking a Water Infrastructure Project Manager for employment in the Coral Gables, Florida, or Fort Lauderdale, Florida office. The successful candidate will lead engineering staff on all project phases to deliver a variety of water, wastewater, stormwater, and resiliency projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Manages projects, including scoping, task management, invoicing, and final closeout.
Plans, schedules, conducts, and/or coordinates detailed phases of engineering work of a major project or several small-moderate scope projects.
Supervise and mentor junior staff.
Planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services will include activities focused on the design of municipal water/wastewater, stormwater, and resiliency projects.
Communicates project tasks between offices – high level of coordination and communication skills required.
Makes technical presentations.
Oversee the planning and design of various project elements, the preparation of project reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings, construction plans and specifications, permitting packages, and documents for inclusion in the final project deliverables.
Overseeing construction phase engineering services
Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida.
6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Relevant experience must include progressive experience as PE/PM in municipal water/wastewater and stormwater infrastructure design projects.
Demonstrated project management experience including delivering projects successfully, on time, and on budget.
A demonstrated track record of leading technical engineering and successfully managing water, wastewater, and stormwater design projects.
Valid Driver’s License and must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
8 years of progressive experience in municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater design projects.
Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully manage diverse teams.
Experience in managing and/or delivering projects by “alternative delivery” is a plus.
Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,000.00 - $146,151.53.
