The Head of Strategic Relationship Management is responsible for leading the distribution strategy for the organization's venture into the Corporate Retirement market, in partnership with Nuveen Retirement Investing, the product team, senior management, distributors, plan sponsors, and consultants. Leading multiple teams, this job is critical for business growth given opportunity in the market, and plays a major role in shaping and executing that market strategy and position for the organization's continued success. This job interacts with executive leadership and others concerning matters of significance to the organization and makes decisions that have a considerable impact on the overall success or failure of the Corporate Retirement department.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Leads a team focused on achieving an aggressive sales plan by promoting and effectively positioning Corporate Retirement in the marketplace.
Develops and executes Corporate Retirement sales strategies to ensure attainment of sales objectives for growth and profitability.
Drives consistent and predictable profitability, and organic growth to support overall Corporate Retirement revenue goals.
Identifies, trains, and obtains commitments from the various distribution channels.
Works with partners to create a year Pro Forma plan while managing a pipeline of opportunities.
Develops all relevant sales and marketing collateral through partnerships with internal and external marketing; including Request For Proposal responses, pitch decks, brochures, and plan sponsor/participant communications.
Understands key competitors and position the firm's products effectively relative to those competitors.
Oversees the implementation of policies and procedures in support of the Corporate Retirement strategy.
Manages performance of the team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional products and engagement, motivation, and development of the team.
