Summary

The Global Account Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the facilities operations across all global sites within the pharmaceutical company. This role ensures that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards, comply with regulatory requirements, and support the company's strategic objectives. The Global Account Director will lead a team of facilities managers and staff, drive efficiency and sustainability initiatives, ensure a safe and productive working environment for all employees and ensure all compliance obligations are met or succussed.

Description

Strategic Planning and Leadership

  • Develop and implement a global facilities management strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a global team of facilities managers and professionals to ensure high performance and professional development.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all global facilities, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for facilities management to ensure consistency and compliance across all sites.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all facilities comply with local, national, and international regulations, including GMP, GxP, and other relevant standards.
  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Budgeting and Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and financial accountability.
  • Monitor and control expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.

Sustainability and Efficiency:

  • Drive sustainability initiatives to reduce the company’s environmental footprint and promote energy efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for waste management, energy consumption, and resource conservation.

Project Management:

  • Oversee major facilities projects, including new construction, renovations, and expansions.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Vendor and Contract Management:

  • Manage relationships with external service providers, including maintenance contractors, security services, and cleaning companies.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure high-quality and cost-effective services.

Communication and Reporting:


Requirements

  • Is authorized to work in the US;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in facilities management, with at least five (5) years in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP, GxP, and other regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical facilities.
  • Proven experience in managing large, complex facilities and leading a global team.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and financial management.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
