THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an Associate Manager who is creative and analytical to collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e. Sales, Category Management, and Brand) to grow a $125MM business through providing category and shopper trends/ insights.
In this role, you will have several distinct responsibilities and priorities:
- Conduct shopper research plans with Sr. Manager’s guidance/ coach to address business questions. Research methodologies may include but not limited to: focus groups, in-store shop along, Path to Purchase, online survey, category trend tracking.
- Pull, synthesize, and analyze data from syndicated sources, such as Nielsen, Numerator, and Kantar to translate learnings into visually – compelling presentations and POVs.
- Lead ad-hoc projects/ data pull to support overall team’s initiatives.
- Effectively communicate insights from all work to internal teams by distilling results to essential learning and actionable recommendations that enable rapid decisions
- Conduct on-going internal and external team business reviews to measure, evaluate and present category performance; and provide vision on future growth opportunities and capture items at potential risk.
- Leverage category/ shopper insights derived from custom shopper work to build and develop selling presentations to support the sell-in initiatives and to respond to retailer questions and competitive challenges.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years’ experience CPG, retail, and/or shopper insights and analytic experience
- A team player – solution-oriented, thrives working alongside teammates toward common business goals.
- Demonstrated storytelling skills and ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.
- A self-starter, able to work independently and build connections with key stakeholders on projects
- Proficient level knowledge of syndicated data source(s): Nielsen/ IRI, Numerator, Stratum
- Survey questionnaires writing experience a plus
