The Electrical Engineer will require basic knowledge across electrical, power electronic and control of the system with sufficient details to support the electrical design across the main area of the Energy Storage & Solar Inverter products design as per project requirement.
Job Description
General Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be responsible for Designing required Electrical components in FLEXINVERTER & FLEXRESERVIOR products as per project requirements.
- Be part of the Project Engineering team to size and write specification for transformer, RMU, Switchgear and Designing of electrical components.
- Be responsible to develop detailed electrical technical specifications.
- Assist in technical vendor reviews and qualifications.
- Support the Solar & Energy storage Project Engineering Application engineering team to design the electrical part of the Energy Storage projects by following the project requirements, understand and translate the project and grid code electrical requirements into electrical Solar/Energy Storage design to fulfil the project/Customer needs.
- Be responsible to perform AC and DC short circuit calculations and choose the related right protections, AC and DC Arch flash analysis (NFPA-70E). Experience in carrying out power system design studies for Energy storage projects (Fault Level, load flow, Protection relay co-ordination, and Arc flash studies…using ETAP, EDSA, SKM, Easy power, MATLAB.
- Study customer’s technical specification to acquire all necessary information to determine the technical configuration/definition of product.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company and customer’s EHS policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering from reputed College/University
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Electrical Design engineering, Experience in Solar/ Wind or Electrical Drives industry will be added advantage.
- Experience in writing specification for MV transformer and RMU, having testing experience in transformer and RMU will be added advantage.
- Knowledge and application of International Standards.
- Analytical and innovative approach in problem solving.
- Proficiency in MS Office, PLM, SAP applications
- Proficient in MATLAB, ETAP, EDSA, PSCAD.
- Knowledge of following modelling tools would be an advantage.
