Your Role and Responsibilities
- Designing network solutions with Firewall and Network components as per Target architecture and internal standards to meet connectivity requirements of external customers
- Daily tasks include managing and maintaining physical and virtual firewalls, including but not limited to: Juniper, Fortigate and Checkpoint, AlgoSec & Illumio.
- Define & implement integration of notification & incident tools among diffrent customer – Slack, SNOW
- Modification to the security policy or configuration of customer managed devices. It ranges from interface and IP changes to signature enablement or disablement.
- Firmware & hardware upgrade. Upgrading customer firmware level involves notifying the customer, scheduling a window when needed, conducting the update in the given time.
- Resolve problems related to Network, Device, Policy, connectivity issues etc.
- Follow documented procedures to complete specific technical tasks within a deployment project.
- Interface with a variety of customers in a polite, positive and professional manner.
- Participate in network security planning and network engineering
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience or familiarity with Public Cloud – AWS
- Known experience on DevOps practices & scripting – Python, Bash, Powershell
- Knowlegde on Linux environment
- Experience in IT field (networking, infrastructure or security)
- Experience with supported FW technologies (Juniper, Fortigate and/or Checkpoint)
- Solid knowledge and experience with troubleshooting production environments with the ability to quickly and efficiently identify and resolve network & firewall related connectivity issues
- AWS Cloud certification
- One or more professional certifications such as: CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA-SEC, JNCIS-SEC, JNCIP-SEC, CompTIA N+
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- 2 years or more of experience in IT Security
- 2 or more years of experience with supported FW technologies (Juniper, Fortigate and/or Checkpoint)
- Experience with AlgoSec & Illumio technologies
- IPS policy management and administration experience
- Identify, define & document automated process and solutions for the benefit of the team
- Expierence with FW orchestration solutions & microsegmentation
- One or more professional certifications such as: CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA-SEC, JNCIS-SEC, JNCIP-SEC, CompTIA N+
