What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Systems Development Engineer, you will design, define and implement complex system requirements for customers and prepare studies and analyses of existing systems. You will also partner with platform development and systems engineering teams globally.

In this high-visibility position, you will work across engineering disciplines to deliver and sustain a competitive NVMe (nonvolatile memory express) solutions across the enterprise portfolio with a focus on PowerEdge servers
Define the system integration of key storage technologies via design activities both within your team and across the broader engineering organizations
Responsibilities include monitoring and responding to industry adoption of NVMe systems design to further enhance the designs post product launch
Provide technical contributions to specifications, storage solutions, and debugging of interactions through the NVMe device hardware, firmware, driver, or OS (operating system) stack
Perform all activities necessary to take a design from concept to production including, architecture definition, schematics, debugging, testing, issue resolution, programming for automation, and high-volume ramp support

Essential Requirements
5 to 8 years of professional Systems Development Engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree
Proficient in Python or C programming with an advanced understanding of appropriate system architectures
Experience with designing, troubleshooting, or analyzing storage subsystems [SCSI (Small Computer System Interface), SAS or NVMe] and qualifying or performance characterization of SSDs (Solid State Drives), NAND, or memory sub-systems
3+ years of experience in system design, embedded architecture, or Dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) development
Experience with x86 architecture design, memory systems, I/O (input-output) subsystem, and microcontrollers; Windows, Linux OS, and storage drivers; PCIe protocol; Protocol analyzer experience; and Storage subsystem concepts such as RAID
Desirable Requirements
Experience managing suppliers and technology partners and the capability to influence others to achieve results
Knowledge of full product development life cycle
