Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Jazwares is looking for a maintenance technician who will oversee the upkeep of our facilities. Individuals in this role will leverage their technical experience from plumbing to carpentry to electrical systems to ensure the continued stability of our operations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Inspect the building, grounds, and equipment
  • Handle necessary repairs and maintenance
  • Install equipment and appliances
  • Follow local and state building codes
  • Comply with all company safety regulations
  • Keep a maintenance log and writes shift reports
  • Report any issues to the Facilities managers
  • Respond to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion
  • Follow written and verbal instructions from the Facilities' manager
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team and contractors as needed
  • Read and follow manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions

What we look for:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 plus of experience with handyman work in a commercial property setting
  • Must maintain a valid Driver's License, with a good driving record
  • Deep knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Comprehensive command of maintenance procedures and techniques
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Carpentry skills to address any facility structural issues
  • Proficiency with electrical wiring
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage workload
  • Must be able to multi-task with strong prioritization, and scheduling abilities
  • Must have excellent people skills to build a positive relationship with colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial maintenance experience

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Office, Warehouse, and occasionally outdoors
  • Extreme Exposures: None
  • Schedule: Typically requires regular office hours, but will also occasionally require participation in meetings and calls with global offices outside of regular office hours
  • Physical Requirements: Lift up to 50 lbs . Must be able to stand, walk, sit, hear, and see frequently. Must be able to reach with hands and arms, climb and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Must be able to drive
