The Analytics Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and enhancing our analytics framework. This role is key in enabling data accessibility for stakeholders and unlocking value from our distinctive datasets.

What you'll be doing:

• Assist in developing, maintaining, and optimizing data architectures, including data lakes/data lakehouses, data warehouses, and processing systems
• Support the creation and management of ETL and ELT pipelines, aiming for high performance and scalability
• Utilize Databricks, dbt, and other cloud-based tools for data analytics and transformation tasks
• Contribute to managing the data lifecycle using delta lakehouse to improve storage and query performance
• Work alongside data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful data solutions that propel business objectives
• Adopt software development best practices with an emphasis on environment and dependency management
• Assist in managing cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with tools like Terraform
• Stay informed on industry trends and actively engage with the data community

What we look for:

• Bachelor's degree computer science, engineering, or other relevant field required
• 2+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics
• Excellent SQL skills
• Familiarity with Python
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in code reviews and data validation
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Good communication abilities and teamwork skills
• Self-driven, pragmatic, and ready to take the initiative

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Databricks, dbt, and AWS services such as S3, EC2, and RDS
• Understanding of the modern data stack and data engineering principles
• Familiarity with Delta Tables, Delta Live Tables and Delta Lakehouse architecture
• Knowledge of ELT processes and practices
