Summary: Enru Logistics and Postal Optimization is looking for a Warehouse Manager. As the Warehouse Manager, you will manage and coordinate warehouse activities (shipping, receiving, packaging, storage, and inventory control) following required company and customer requirements and schedules. Translate objectives into short-term assignments, processes, and measures. Communicate what is to be accomplished and coordinate/integrate activities to achieve goals. Develop short-term department and individual associate goals and review progress. Ensure employee training is available, organize work plans, and maintain a productive and motivational climate.
This position will manage 12 employees in a 135k sq foot warehouse environment onsite in Pico Rivera, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and ensure warehouse activities comply with safety processes, space availability, production output, order requirements, and business plans. Guide warehouse supervisors and/or leads regarding the coordination of department standards with overall company objectives. Provide budgetary input on equipment/staffing needs, etc.
- Review inventory reports, production schedules, sales order reports, and other manufacturing reports. Manage daily work output to ensure teams meet specified timelines for both customers and the manufacturing process. Resolve issues that arise and reinforce positive findings with teams and supervisors. Work with other department managers such as QA, Production, planning, etc. to resolve difficult or recurring problems.
- Ensure supervisors and/or leads, employees are trained and evaluated on safety procedures and policies. Emphasize the importance of maintaining and operating equipment and keeping work areas clean from debris. Respond to and report on injuries, investigate causes, and recommend means to prevent re-occurrence.
- Assess the quality of incoming materials and outgoing products to ensure specifications are met. Take corrective action on issues and engage appropriate departments to resolve issues.
- Review various reports and evaluate process improvements for the department. Implement improvements that have a positive impact on quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
- Confer with other department managers to coordinate warehouse activities with activities of other areas such as production, planning, purchasing, etc. Provide feedback to senior management and peers in other departments regarding problems, changes, and general observations made from production operations that impact the manufacturing process.
- Keep teams informed of customer and company expectations for productivity and quality. Issue warnings and other disciplinary measures when necessary. Provide feedback on team performance against established assignments. Encourage and emphasize teamwork among staff.
- Interview, hire, and provide performance leadership to employees and/or supervisors. Assess employees’ accountabilities against department objectives, review performance levels, and administer performance reviews. Motivate department employees, encouraging optimum productivity. Assist, advise, and resolve conflict through communication of policy, expectations, personal development of each, and ongoing appraisal processes. Encourage employee communication and endorse an open-door policy. Make salary determinations.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, OR 7-10 years of relevant work experience and demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience
- 4+ years of experience in warehouse management with direct leadership supervisory experience managing a team of function area or related roles.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory control, order fulfillment, and logistics processes.
- Commitment to safety and compliance.
- Able to explain program policies and procedures in language that is understood by others.
- Must be able to modify communication style both formal and informal to match the appropriate level of the audience targeted. Requires a strong understanding of the impact of a message on the organization or customer. Able to write with the clarity and precision necessary for the work being performed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
