Adath Israel Congregation was founded 100 years ago out of a desire of the young Jewish adults of the day
to have an experience more meaningful to them than what their parents and grandparents were
accustomed to. As Adath enters its second century, we find ourselves in a similar place, with young adults
not gravitating to the experiences of their parents and grandparents. We are therefore taking a first step
in this regard by seeking an innovative part-time engagement coordinator to identify and communicate
with unaffiliated young Jewish adults and families in the greater Mercer-Bucks County areas to understand
how they would like to express their Jewish culture and identity. With this information, the part-time
engagement coordinator may subsequently work with Adath volunteers and staff to craft relevant new
Jewish experiences.
