Mission Darkness, by MOS Equipment, is a growing e-commerce business that designs bags and enclosures for law enforcement, military, and the general public (check out our team and our values here: https://mosequipment.com/pages/meet-the-team). We are primarily an e-commerce brand that sells on our Shopify store, Amazon, and through a network of distributors.


We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Website Content Manager to join our team in downtown Santa Barbara. This dual-role position combines basic web design and content management, two essential components for the overhaul and ongoing maintenance of our website. We are looking for a creative individual who can transform our online presence into a more elevated, modern, easy-to-navigate, and mobile-friendly user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web design and content management, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating engaging online experiences. You will work closely with our marketing team to ensure our website reflects our brand and meets our business goals.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Redesign and revamp the MOS Equipment website to improve user experience and visual appeal
  • Ensure the website is modern, user-friendly, and mobile-responsive
  • Transfer existing content to the new website, ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Update website descriptions and visuals to align with our brand identity
  • Implement and customize Shopify templates and apps
  • Continuously add and update engaging content across the website
  • Manage and maintain product listing pages, ensuring all information is current and accurately reflects our offerings
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create and update landing pages, blog posts, and other content
  • Regularly monitor website performance and user experience, implementing improvements as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the website’s functionality and content
  • Stay up-to-date with web design trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure our website remains cutting-edge


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as an e-commerce Web Designer, Content Manager, or a similar role
  • Strong proficiency in Shopify, including familiarity with Shopify templates and apps, or similar platforms (WordPress)
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web design coding languages
  • Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles
  • Strong content creation and management skills, with the ability to write engaging and accurate web content
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization
