Our part-time, remote programs are specifically designed to serve underserved schools and overlooked communities. In addition to technical skills, we offer career services to help learners transition successfully into their new careers.


Position Overview:

The Talent Program Manager plays a pivotal leadership role, focused on recruiting, onboarding, and managing our instructional staff. This role is essential in ensuring that our learners receive top-quality instruction and support across multiple cohorts. The Faculty Manager will oversee a team of over 25 contract instructors and teaching assistants, ensuring they are well-prepared, well-supported, and aligned with our program objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for fostering a strong sense of community and cultivating a positive team culture that aligns with our business goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Hiring: Lead the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions for instructional staff.
  • Onboarding & Training: Design and implement onboarding programs to prepare instructors and TAs for success in their roles.
  • Staff Management: Oversee the performance, scheduling, and professional development of instructional staff, ensuring they meet program standards and deadlines.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, identify skill gaps, and implement development plans to ensure continuous growth and improvement within the team.
  • Fostering a Positive Culture: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and success among the faculty, encouraging best practices and collaboration across the team.
  • Communication & Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for instructional staff, providing updates on important changes, including curriculum or program modifications, coordinating schedules, and facilitating communication with other departments.
  • Process Evaluation & Improvement: Continuously assess and improve the recruitment, onboarding, and management processes for instructional staff, incorporating feedback and automating processes where possible.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Learner Success, Career Services, and Product teams to ensure cohesive program delivery and address instructional challenges.
  • Program Quality Assurance: Collect and analyze feedback from students, instructors, and teaching assistants to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to enhance the learning experience.
  • Time Management: Balance multiple responsibilities, including recruitment cycles, cohort start dates, and program updates, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a faculty or talent program management or similar role, preferably within an educational or training environment.
  • Strong background in recruitment, management, and project management.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in team management and professional development, including conducting performance reviews and addressing skill gaps.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating with multiple stakeholders across different departments.
  • Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and success within the instructional staff team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and processes for streamlining tasks and improving efficiency.
  • Bonus: Previous experience in the technical industry (e.g., software development, UX/UI, data analytics, digital marketing).
  • **This role requires in-office presence at our Manhattan office three days a week.**
