We are looking for a savvy Content and Social Media Coordinator, who has excellent copywriting, time management & organization skills. You are a beauty/retail connoisseur while loving creating engaging content, speaking hashtag & check what’s trending on Tik-Tok & Instagram on a daily. You also have experience on camera and creating & editing social content on iPhone under quick deadlines.
Your life at MAËLYS will look like…
- Set, plan, and implement social media campaigns and strategies across all brand social channels with a special focus on TiK-Tok and Instagram.
- Concept, art direct and execute shoots for daily/evergreen social in an on-going fast paced environment as well as campaign content to support seasonal product launches with a focus and expertise in video editing, still photography and retouching.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends and platform updates to ensure our content remains relevant and engaging.
- Work on ideation and writing of accurate, engaging scripts for new video content.
- Build monthly social calendar, post/schedule content daily and manage MAËLYS social media platforms (Instagram, Tik-Tok, Facebook, Snapchat & LinkedIn).
- Create platform-specific content for TikTok first and foremost, as well as Instagram feed and stories, Meta, as part of a monthly/year-long content calendars in line with brand guidelines. Must feel comfortable to be in front of the camera. Content creation should include, but not be limited to:
- UGC social style content
- Lifestyle content
- Retail / Event content
- Attend and capture content at events with ability to post live in real time while also capturing & editing video content for all social platforms.
- Work closely with Influencer Marketing Manager & cross-functional departments, as well as third-party vendors to execute strategic, engaging, and creative social campaigns.
- Manage post production of all content executed, including video edits, image selects, retouching, copywriting and QC for final file delivery.
- Monitor, analyze and report performance data and conceive new ideas based on performance (Compile weekly, monthly and quarterly social media reports).
You will thrive in this role if you have…
- Bachelor's degree in relevant education.
- 2+ years of experience in the organic social media field (in-house or agency) preferred in the beauty industry.
- Existing strong portfolio showcasing creative and engaging content.
- Strong understanding of social media, trending topics & most importantly beauty.
- Proven record of developing and executing successful large-scale social media brand campaigns with measurable results.
- Proficiency in using CapCut/Splice on iPhone and AdobeRush/PremierePro & Figma on computer for video editing. Experience in either the production or creative side of video creation is an advantage.
- Keen attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle short deadlines.
- Be a creative storytelling champion for the social strategy in partnership with brand, influencer, and content marketing teams.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and quickly produce content in response to trending topics or company needs.
- Must be willing to monitor social channels periodically over overnight & on weekends.
