Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Work with Business Users; Helpdesk, and Technical Support Associates to troubleshoot problems as they arise.
Use programming languages to develop, maintain, and enhance applications for the Business.
Actively participate in developing program specifications, writing code, testing and implementing program changes and program development.
Develop test plans and thoroughly test/debug all programs before implementation.
Develop and maintain system documentation (design, architecture, data diagrams).
Proactively seek and implement process improvements using technology.
Researching, understanding and documenting customer and user requirements.
Working with management, stakeholders, team leads, designers and others as needed to help refine a product backlog of user stories for agile development.
Monitoring and reporting on progress and deliverables.
Qualifications:
Students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related fields or equivalent experience
Strong academic performance in core programs, communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on development or system integration experience (classroom or job-related).
Familiarity with developing in Java, .NET, HTML, SharePoint, Perl, Python, UIPath, Ruby, PowerApps or other development/scripting languages using TFS and/or Azure cloud.
Familiarity with SQL and/or Oracle databases.
Familiarity with secure coding best practices.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance and maintain the clearance throughout their employment.
Previous energy industry-related internship experience is an asset.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
