Description

Manage, develop and implement programs composed of multiple cross-functional engineering projects, and partner with key business stakeholders to ensure a successful project completion. Lead multiple projects from inception to completion focusing on the operational aspects of the life cycle of engine product and manufacturing process using knowledge of Business Planning/Strategy. Apply cross-functional knowledge to ensure successful product launches and improve the overall effectiveness of Manufacturing Operations Excellence. Utilize knowledge of Scope and Schedule Management to track to the status of project deliverables and monitor complex schedules integrating multiple sub-projects. Proficiently use a Value Package Profile and other scope-defining documents to proactively manage change. Facilitate project planning sessions with appropriate stakeholders in supply chain and life cycle of engine product to determine the objectives of each project and work with appropriate stakeholders to establish project performance goals and measure business outcomes. Work with customers by employing Lean, 5s, Kaizen, Kanban and Six Sigma methodologies to manage interactions and relationships in order to maximize opportunities. Lead team in developing project Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and /or 9-box project risk summary, and identify and manage the actions to mitigate risks utilizing experience with Project Issue and Risk Management. Plan and monitor the project budget and provide input on timelines using experience with Project Resource Management. Identify and assign appropriate resources to accomplish various project tasks, guide and coach team members through various stages of the project, and provide developmental feedback to team members. Define and implement data driven improvements into the organization by applying Industrial Engineering Fundamentals including Time and Motion Analysis, Definition of Labor Standards, and Optimization. Improve materials, manufacturing, and business processes by studying current practices and developing and implementing process and business solutions.

Skills

Experience and Education:

Positions require a Master’s degree in Industrial, Operations, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience as an Industrial, Quality, or Manufacturing Engineer, or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Operations, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience as an Industrial, Quality, or Manufacturing Engineer, or related position. Experience including Business Planning/Strategy; Manufacturing cross-functional knowledge; Scope and Schedule Management; Value Package Profile and other scope-defining documents; Lean, 5s, Kaizen, Kanban, and Six Sigma methodologies; Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA); Project Issue and Risk Management; Project Resource Management; Industrial Engineering Fundamentals including Time and Motion Analysis, Definition of Labor Standards, and Optimization.
