Position Description

We are immediately hiring a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Redwood City on a hybrid schedule.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, this role is significantly involved in the daily activities of the accounting department including:

  • Ownership of key accounting functions which includes month-end reconciliations, supporting schedules, analyzing monthly variances, and booking monthly accruals.
  • Prepare and record journal entries including accruals, prepaid, allocations, ST, and LT deposits, etc.
  • Work closely with the Marketing, Legal departments, and FP&A to ensure expenditures are within budget.
  • Assist with the procurement process with Approve.com.
  • Assist in preparing schedules for external audits.

Ideal candidates will understand the Online Advertising industry, have a passion for technology + the drive and ownership to work in a start-up environment.

Requirements:

  • 4 – 6 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong knowledge of SOX Compliance
  • NetSuite preferred or similar ERP system.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task coordinate multiple conflicting priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

Compensation Data

Compensation: $120 > 130k base salary plus annual bonus, and benefits.
