IT Director
ROLE:
We are looking for an experienced, collaborative, and tech savvy individual to help bring our vision for Acquisition.com to life through proper systems, data, and IT infrastructure. We are a rapidly growing company which means our technical needs continue to compound and we are looking for an experienced Director of IT to come in, shore up present day operations, and then build the team to scale.
The IT Director's primary responsibilities include managing, designing, and building information systems, with a focus on HubSpot specifically. We would like you to come in with ‘fresh eyes’ and also provide recommendations as you see fit to ensure the systems we are on, we should remain on.
Additionally, you will manage vendors and assist in developing training materials for the Sales, Events, and Customer Service Departments. We all know that a good IT department is only as good as the team trained to use it!
The ideal IT Director is a highly detail-oriented, a motivated self-starter who is organized, has excellent communication skills and loves being part of a tight knit team.
Extensive experience with HubSpot, Business Analytics, and IT integrations is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning and Implementation:
- The Director of IT is responsible for developing and implementing the IT strategy that aligns with the organization's goals. This includes identifying technology trends, planning for future IT needs, and ensuring that IT resources are effectively utilized to support business objectives.
- Ensure the company’s systems are protected from a cybersecurity standpoint.
- Streamlining all manual data collection/reporting through automation, ensuring consistent/accurate metrics are available to all end-users
- Prioritizing short and long-term requests/projects based on overarching company goals and impact (company, employee or client)
- Assessing all systems on an ongoing basis to ensure we are using the proper stack as a company based on our goals and growing teams
IT Infrastructure and Operations Management:
- Overseeing the IT infrastructure and ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT systems and services is a key responsibility.
- This includes managing data centers, networks, hardware, software, and cybersecurity measures to maintain optimal performance and mitigate risks.
- Managing the deployment, development, monitoring, maintenance, upgrading, and support of organizational IT systems; including but not limited to email, software apps, CRMs, and websites
- Ensure that maintenance and support tasks are completed in a timely manner by implementing a ticketing system
- Provide regular maintenance/upkeep on our internal infrastructure as needed.
- Work with Hubspot, Stripe, and other applications to ensure that all high-level integrations with our systems work smoothly and function fully at all times.
- Manage budgets and purchase software and hardware as necessary
- Document all builds, systems, and infrastructure with sequence diagrams, flow charts, wireframes, prototypes, report mockups, and any other models and diagrams that are beneficial.
- Manage all company platforms and password protections.
- Manage all onboarding and offboarding of employees from a security standpoint
- Developing standard operating procedures based on best practice and in support of strategies set by upper management; ensuring documented protocols, guidelines, and training are provided to all end-users
Team Leadership and Development:
- The Director of IT is responsible for hiring, training, and mentoring IT staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment, and ensuring that the team has the skills and resources necessary to support the organization's technology needs.
- Research, recommend, and manage vendors, platforms, and processes required to support each department's needs.
- Work with the Key Stakeholders to collect business requirements and translate/develop project plans accordingly.
- Execute HR tasks such as determining hiring needs, interviewing employees, overseeing the assignment of employees, conducting 1:1 meetings, planning staff development, and creating/improving all onboarding
- Properly educate and train ancillary departments on how to use the systems you put into place
RESULTS:
- All systems are assessed and the company has the proper technology stack to meet its needs
- All systems are properly connected/integrated with each other to ensure smooth customer communication and employee communication
- New systems are proposed and implemented in a timely fashion and all progress is reported to DOO weekly
- Proper implementation rollouts are delivered to the team and training is conducted ahead of any releases
- Vendor relationships with outsourced companies involved in the systems are managed and found/established as needed
- IT Department is properly staffed and able to support the needs of our fast-growing company
- New team members are successfully interviewed, hired, onboarded, and supervised as needed
- All quarterly, monthly, and weekly tasks are strategically planned and scheduled in a manner that brings company goals to fruition
- All team members have clear direction on goals and priorities; regular 1:1s, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations are conducted
- Other departments are properly trained on how to use all IT systems as well as how to interact with the IT team (ticketing system)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as IT director or similar role (3 years minimum as a leader)
- Minimum of 8 years experience in the technology field
- Vast experience with Stripe, Hubspot, and Hubspot Integrations.
- Must work in a timely fashion and execute at a high level to accommodate the growth of the fast-growing company.
- Ability to understand and code new API integrations between various web software tools and platforms.
- Must be comfortable with web-based software platforms and have a strong understanding of content delivery systems.
- Strong communication skills to address issues and concerns as they arise to keep momentum strong and avoid stalls.
- Be accurate and deliver quality. Have a “roll up your sleeves and dive in” attitude.
- Must be solutions-oriented and resourceful, a long-term thinker forecasting 2nd and 3rd order effects.
- Must be even-keeled, able to focus, yet adapt to keep up with ever-changing requirements.
- Ability and desire to quickly learn new platforms, systems or technologies.
- Experience using G Suite, Zoom Meetings, and Asana.
COMMUNICATION CYCLE:
DAILY
- Communications on high-priority items via Slack with the Director of Operations (DOO)
- Is generally available via Slack during working hours 8am-5pm PST
WEEKLY
- EOW Report is delivered to DOO by Thursday 3pm PST
- Attends 1:1 with DOO
- Conducts 1:1 with each Direct Report
- Weekly IT/Automation Meeting
- Attends all Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual company meetings as requested
CHAIN OF COMMUNICATION
- Search within all content/materials provided or available to retrieve answers or way of resolving the situation
- Reach out to peers to gain insight into the situation and see if a resolution can be found
- If still unresolved, reach out to DOO
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations (DOO)
SALARY: 140k-145k annually BOE, plus bonus
LOGISTICS: Remote (must fly to Las Vegas as needed) - Vegas local preferred
