Hardware Engineering Manager / Director of Malaysia

Job Description:

We are growing at a significant rate globally and we are looking for a Hardware Engineering Manager to join our Malaysia Team. In this position you will report directly to the Director of Engineering in the US, interact with the global engineering team, and lead all aspects of engineering and R&D in the Malaysia and Taiwan office.

As the Hardware Engineering Manager at OnLogic, you will lead a team of engineers to develop our company's motherboards and products and manage the team for product sustaining. You will guide the team to take the new products through a rigorous validation and testing process to ensure they conform to the specifications. You will be a key person of influence and source of leadership for both the local team as well as the broader OnLogic organization. On an average day, you will:

  • Provide strategic R&D expertise to help scale the organization, hit business goals, and execute vision/priorities.
  • Manage hardware development, including circuit schematic design, PCB layout & product cost for highly reliable Intel x86, AMD, and ARM-based products for industrial applications.
  • Define, prioritize, and execute product development and engineering discussions
  • Led engineering team to map functional requirements to technical design specs and project schedule.
  • Mentor, manage, and grow a team of engineering experts while evaluating the performance of the design team.
  • Interact with senior internal team members, functional peer group managers, and external vendors, involving matters between functional areas, other business units, or customers and the company.
  • Oversee local projects, such as facility improvements and other capital projects that occur within the sites.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of Electrical Engineering of motherboard R&D, preferable in Industry PC industry
  • 5+ years of engineering management experience.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines in a leadership capacity, such as mechanical, electrical, firmware product testing, etc.
  • Developed products from proof of concept to mass production.
  • Professional level fluency in English

Benefits

The salary range for this role is MYR400,000~MYR600,000 We determine final compensation based on discussions with applicants and their experience in similar roles. Besides a base salary, we will offer you a comprehensive Benefits package that includes:
