Job Description:

The Finance Business Partner, Global Supply Chain, for Leica Biosystems is responsible for financial controlling for our Global Supply Chain Organization, in close partnership with Global Supply Chain leadership.

This position is part of the Global Supply Chain Finance organization located in Richmond, IL  (option to work in Deer Park, IL)  and will be hybrid with frequent on-site presence. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the Global Supply Chain Finance Team and report to the Finance Manager,  responsible for Distribution Centers in Richmond, IL and Taunusstein, Germany.  If you thrive in a fast-paced and growing role and want to work to build a world-class finance organization—read on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain and Improve Financial control and business analytics in a newly expanded Distribution Center
  • Maintain, Improve, and Develop monthly/weekly/daily financial reporting, and business analytics to drive business performance and decision-making
  • Support Inventory Management through actionable analytics across the global supply chain
  • Drive Freight/Logistic cost optimization by providing clear visibility and Risk/Opportunity analytics
  • Be an active team member in daily/weekly management meetings; developing, guiding, and tracking forecasts and budgets.

The essential requirements of the job include:  

  • Strong computer skills including Excel and experience working with enterprise consolidation systems (Hyperion, One Stream, or similar), ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE or similar), and Data Warehouse systems (SAP BW, Oracle BI, or similar)
  • Experience in Supply Chain/Logistics controlling function managing inventory assets and freight costs
  • Experience working with global and cross-functional teams, comfortable presenting and explaining financial information.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • 5+ years in a financial or accounting role with analytical responsibilities.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Power BI
  • SAP/HANA
