As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Provides engineering leadership to the Aberdeen plant - Establishes a network of resources and contacts to meet business goals and customer needs
  • Utilizes technical skills to compile and review information to evaluate project scope, equipment specifications and other project requirements
  • Monitors product factory cost and initiates continuous improvement projects
  • Leads and participates in continuous improvement projects focused on product and quality system improvements
  • Utilizes project management skills to organize and execute projects
  • Supports site and focus factory resources with process improvements
  • Drives understanding of key customer needs and monitors process capabilities
  • Reports project implementation, cost and status to appropriate person

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering and/or Science discipline (completed and verified prior to start)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
  • Prior experience working within a manufacturing and/or process engineering environment
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skills

Work location:

  • Aberdeen-SD

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

The expected compensation range for this position is $93,033 - $113,708, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
