The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Content Production Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by focusing on delivering small-scale digital content production projects and managing the product photography capture process (prioritizing products, engaging with the photo studio, facilitating the approval of the completed photography and loading the assets into the system of record) while driving global photography standards.

  • Providing execution with a quick turnaround for small scope content production work, with the ability to recommend outside agencies for larger projects
  • Maintaining relationships with agencies to make recommendations to meet business needs for production work
  • Prioritizing product photography requests according to business and customer needs, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Leading regular meetings with appropriate teams to review operational progress, and driving towards priority setting and resolution
  • Coordinating and planning the logistics to support photography capture (ordering products to be delivered to studios and returning/scrapping the products once complete)
  • Coordinating the approval of new product photography and submitting tickets for loading into the digital asset management tool (DAM), the system of record
  • Developing and recommending global photography standards for the corporation
  • Participating in design and design research activities to learn new skills and applying them to the job.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university
  • Two (2) years of content production and/or product photography experience in a private, public, government or military environment

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution
  • Seven (7) years of experience in content production and/or product photography

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Proven customer focus and consultative skills with a proven ability to develop solutions that address customer needs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop (typesetting, masking and clipping paths, use of layers and groups, color theory, layout) and/or other creative layout tools
  • Experienced in working with large data sets in MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, formatting)
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to internal systems of record (ERP, PIM, DAM, etc.)

The expected compensation range for this position is $79,971 - $97,742, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
