The Opportunity

We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Data Privacy Governance Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead agile ceremonies, coordinate quarterly program roadmaps, manage the program budget, and work closely with development teams to build technology. Additionally, you will support data privacy governance operations by identifying process improvements, risk-prioritizing operational tasks, managing project finances, and collaborating across departments on larger initiatives. Data Privacy Governance is part of the Privacy Data, and AI Governance (PDAIG) team. This role reports directly to the Head of Data Privacy Governance.

The Data Privacy Governance team is composed of Business Analysts, Information Risk Consultants, Project/Agile Managers, Delivery/Infrastructure specialists, and Data Privacy subject matter experts.  We are located across the US, Romania, and India. Exhibiting the above competencies, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, increment reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure project goals, timelines, and budgets are met.

  • Work closely with development teams to build and implement technology solutions that support data privacy best practices.

  • Identify process improvements and risk-prioritizing operational tasks to enhance data privacy operations and reduce potential risks.

  • Responsible for influencing the adoption and success of data privacy governance processes, measuring, and growing process maturity, and enabling continuous improvement. 

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute quarterly roadmaps, aligning team objectives with company goals and emerging data privacy governance requirements.

  • Defines with the Head of Data Privacy, the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the program.

  • Reviews and analyzes OKRs & KPIs and implements corrective actions required following the analysis.

  • Manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking expenses to ensure cost-effective delivery of projects.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on larger projects, ensuring efficient communication and coordination of efforts.

  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk assessments.

  • Ensures that program processes, roles, responsibilities, and documentation are regularly reviewed and audited. 

  • Interfaces with line management, ensuring that the process program receives the necessary Staff resources. 

  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation of potential risks.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting best practices in data privacy governance and project management across the organization.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Information Technology, Business Administration, or Computer Science.

  • 5+ years of project management experience, focusing on technology or data privacy governance initiatives.

  • Proven experience leading agile ceremonies and managing cross-functional teams across multiple workstreams.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Experience with project management tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, and Clarity PPM.

The Ideal Qualifications

  • Familiarity with data privacy governance regulations and best practices, such as GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and HIPAA, is preferred.

  • Familiarity with data privacy governance standards and best practices, such as NIST-P is preferred.

  • PMP or related project management certification is a plus.
