Description

Pontera is seeking Sr. Events Manager to lead an events team that plans, promotes, and executes our attendance at industry conferences, ensuring quality engagements with wealth advisors and technology partners. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with events/field marketing in the financial services sector.

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing fintech company and build a team of talented community managers that will make a significant contribution to our partnerships strategy. Reporting to the Director of Partnership Marketing, this role closely collaborates with our business development, content marketing and design, and communications teams.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously refine Pontera’s industry conference participation objectives and strategies, maximizing opportunities to grow brand awareness, educate our customers, and generate new business
  • Oversee Pontera’s events calendar, budget, and materials inventory; ensure your team is effectively managing expenditures according to plan
  • Establish best practices for managing events from start to finish, including negotiating event sponsorship contracts, managing logistics, planning keynotes with leaders, setting conference appointments, and tracking success
  • Hire a team of Community Managers to project manage our event participation and staff the booths
  • Oversee the execution of promotional campaigns to maximize booth traffic and planned engagements
  • Create a strong feedback loop between your team and the business development team, ensuring all event contacts have follow up
  • Own the lead tracking and reporting process to hit event KPIs and drive ROI
  • Analyze event performance to prioritize future conference participation
  • Make suggestions to leadership regarding when/how Pontera might consider hosting our own virtual and/or in-person events
  • Stay up-to-date with GTM initiatives and creative event strategies to identify new conference opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6+ years of experience in events/field marketing in the financial services sector, preferably in wealth management
  • Highly analytical approach to tracking event initiatives, creating efficient and scalable programs, and driving measurable ROI
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional project and people management skills
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, such as CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and analytics tools
