WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A Software Engineer III who will play an important role in developing and innovating highly scalable software solutions by studying systems flow and work processes, contribute to the ongoing evolution of the existing applications and services following the software development lifecycle to support the end-to-end process.

He/She should have the ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery and excellent software engineering skills. Creative engineering balanced with high quality and a customer focus. Must be able to work across multiple facets of the project and juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time. Strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is looking to grow their career in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a software engineer III in the MSCT organization, you will be part of designing and delivering both digital and in-store platforms to bring best-in-class consumer experiences to our consumers worldwide. We invest and develop advances in technology employ the most creative people in the world, and then give them the support to constantly innovate, iterate, and serve consumers more directly and personally. innovative, diverse, multidisciplinary, and collaborative, taking technology into the future and bringing the world with it. We are responsible for creating, developing, and deploying seamless, tailored, and inherently social experiences to its Digital consumers and partners.

In this role, you will:
 

  • Be part of a mission-critical team focused on building a high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant supply chain platform that drives Nike’s Digital transformation and growth strategies.
  • Innovating, architecting, designing, and implementing highly available, scalable systems, focusing on highly visible marketing initiatives.
  • Contributing ideas for new features and identifying technical areas for improvement proactively
    collaborating with product team members at Nike to design, develop, and deploy a highly scalable digital asset management system and services.
  • As a senior developer, you will use your in-depth experience in software development to writing clean, tested, and well-documented code, as well as lead the peer code review process and mentor other engineers on the team.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

If this is you, you will be directly working with a team of dedicated engineers that work on the same solutions. A Lead Engineer will support the team with design and technical guidance. You share your experience and technical expertise such that we improve on the longer-term technical strategic direction.

You will be reporting to engineering leadership at GoalTech India Capability Center, who will guide you to grow and build your career path.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other relevant subject area, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years software development experience
  • Delivery excellence in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment
  • Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment (e.g. Amazon EC2, GCE, Rackspace, Azure etc.)

·Hands-on experience in micro service architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful Services using languages such as Java, Node, Scala etc

  • Experience in designing and implementing highly scalable web applications.
  • Experience in micro service architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful Services using languages such as Java, Node, Scala etc.
  • Experience working with NoSQL data stores like Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB etc.
  • Experience working with relational data stores like MySQL, Oracle etc.
  • Experience with monitoring and tracing tools like Splunk, SignalFx, New Relic etc.
  • Experience with continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests.
  • Exposure to Supply Chain domain areas like inventory management, order management, logistics management, warehouse management.
  • Exposure to implementing or integrating with enterprise scale packages like SAP S4, IBM Sterling, Manhattan WM.
  • Working knowledge of Scrum and agile principles.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Comfortable working with globally distributed and diverse team.
  • Commitment to and hands-on experience in performing technical code reviews.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
