WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an energetic Graphics Manager that will drive an emotional connection with the EMEA consumer through the use of narrative and storytelling. Together with a team you’ll bring to life close to market trend-relevant, seasonal creative direction by being a graphic & color specialist at the product and collection level.

You will use graphics to deliver an elevated consumer relevant brand point of view in the marketplace through strategic vision, design direction, storytelling and editing. You'll communicate design concepts effectively. In addition, you will collaborate and build in a fast-paced closer to market environment and make informed design and application decisions with efficiency and agility, while keeping costing targets in mind.

You'll monitor the development of prototype samples and interact with development, to finalize production details; choosing trim and print applications, you will be challenged by a wide range of responsibilities and experiences and ensure timely completion of each project. 

Your focus is to bring to life the seasonal product direction that is trend-relevant EMEA consumer at speed.

You’ll manage a small team of Graphic Design specialists, you’ll be accountable for meeting short-term to medium-term targets that impact the department or team. Responsible for performance management, pay and resourcing decisions for direct reports.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Partners with Apparel & Footwear cross-functional teams throughout the product creation process to deliver against closer-to-market dates & gates.
  • Collaborates with Product Line Managers, Designers, Sourcing & Costing and Development to achieve desired product detailing.
  • Obsesses product, print and trim application technology.
  • Plans and executes product details and reviews all samples, troubleshoots achievability issues, and clearly communicates changes to ensure timely completion of each project.
  • Obsess storytelling and share the “why” behind the work.
  • Uses sophisticated skills to create product expressions that align with global creative direction, seasonal key concepts, gender strategies, franchise journeys, geo assortments that connect with the EMEA consumer.
  • Crafts a consumer and brand-right narrative through graphic design, color, application, trim and hardware choice based on close to market trends and opportunities.
  • In depth knowledge of Nike DNA, history of notable styles and their iconic graphic narrative.
  • Embrace ambiguity and simplify complexity.
  • Masters excellent trend mining skills: Strong connection to consumer and city trends focused on EMEA.
  • Ability to adapt to change and adjust quickly based on marketplace shifts, market trend and business opportunities.

     

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

  • EMEA Apparel Graphic & Product Designers, Footwear Designers.
  • Geo GEL Designers (APLA, GC, NA)
  • Global Graphic, Product and Color Designers.
  • X-functional collaboration — Development, Product Line management, Sourcing & Costing.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Drives a high degree of graphic innovation and excellence. Knowledge of color innovation and excellence will be considered a plus.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (CC, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Keynote & 3D programs software eg. CLO, Browzwear, Substance Painter)
  • Ability to apply and perform design skills such as: drawing/sketching, ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing and scale, visual presentation development and layout.
  • Knowledge of pattern making, draping, materials, trims, garment fit, garment construction, and manufacturing is a nice to have.
    Ability to translate insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling.
  • Knowledge of the sportswear industry and EMEA consumer with a future-thinking approach.
  • Passion for leadership, mentoring and coaching with a continuous learning mindset.
    High-level communicator and presenter.
  • Leads collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to embrace varying points of view while fostering an environment of inclusivity and diversity 
  • Passion and knowledge of sports.
     

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in professional graphic arts, design or multimedia role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, art or related field; fashion design, product design, industrial design, accessory and footwear design, or textile design.
  • Great project manager with proven ability to deliver against deadlines.
  • People management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of product creation.
