Currently, we are seeking an experienced Partnership & Events Manager to join our Marketing team.


The Partnership and Events Manager is responsible for providing strategy, planning, and operational support for the Brand’s sports and charitable partnerships, as well as all brand events including sports, charitable, trade, and consumer shows. This role works closely with product marketing, brand marketing, creative, sales, and PR agencies.


The ideal candidate will be an organized, people-centric, analytical thinker who can apply their understanding of the brand and business to partnerships and events in ways that deliver strong ROI and delight attendees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Partnership Management

  • Serve as the primary brand point of contact for all external marketing partners including sports sponsorships, charity partners, and brand ambassadors.
  • Manage and execute all marketing rights included in the brand’s partnership contracts, ensuring that activities are maximizing brand visibility and affinity.
  • Collaborate with the internal creative team to prepare all marketing assets required to support partnerships, creating thorough and effective creative briefs that strategically guide the messaging and visuals.
  • Lead organization of all partnership events and attend events as the brand’s representative (see below for event responsibility details)
  • Work with internal team and external PR agency to identify opportunities to leverage partnerships for media coverage.


Event Strategy & Assessment

Event responsibilities pertain to both the brand’s partnership-related events and non-partnership events such as trade and consumer shows.

  • In collaboration with Marketing and Sales teams, determine the ideal schedule of consumer shows in key markets annually.
  • Create and communicate yearly events calendars and schedules to ensure all team members are aware of planned events.
  • Assess event marketing opportunities and make recommendations to the marketing lead.
  • Develop and manage a task list associated with event planning preparation, and accomplish that list in a timely manner, coordinating with the Brand Manager or cross-functional teams.
  • Drive new ways of thinking about events and experiences and collaborate with the brand team to ensure brand consistency, engagement, and results


Event Logistics & Facilitation

  • Planned and facilitated logistics for all trade and consumer shows including contract negotiations, venue preparation, booth design and build, presentation materials, security, catering, entertainment, AV, transportation, accommodations, and marketing materials.
  • Ensure all product samples and marketing collateral are ordered and on time for events.
  • Create and manage staffing plans for all shows.
  • Support the Brand Manager and Product Marketing Manager with acquiring location, staff, permits, accommodations, and other resources needed for domestic photo and video activities to support product or campaign launches.
  • Act as an ambassador for the brand at events with both customers and consumers, serving as the go-to resource for fielding questions and problem-solving.


Partnership Acquisition & Maintenance

  • Collaborate with a PR agency and photo/video resources for relevant media and influencer tie-in opportunities.
  • Develop strong relationships with third-party event organizers, stand builders, and other event suppliers and work with them to secure optimum value for the business.
  • Collect, document, and share critical feedback learned from events with event vendors and organizers.


Budgeting & Contracts

  • Support in drafting comprehensive proposals for events including venue, display, sound and lighting, food and beverage, equipment, staffing, entertainment, photo and video, event consultancy, talent, partnership, etc.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors on quotations, contracts, and invoices.
  • Ensure event projects are executed on time and within budget by monitoring spend and effectively managing timelines.
  • Report on final event spending and provide feedback to the Brand Manager to inform future event budget forecasts.


General

  • Think outside the box and push team members to bring innovative ideas and solutions to the greater team to keep our partnerships and events dynamic and engaging.
  • Provide regular reporting on partnership and event activities and ROI to internal stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of marketing experience, ideally in a Consumer-Packaged Goods company.
  • Events and/or sports marketing experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree with studies in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications preferred, or two-year degree combined with equivalent experience.
  • Sports marketing major or minor is highly desirable
