PRODUCTION MANAGER-Live Events


A Bluffton, SC-based boutique marketing firm is looking for a Production Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of live event production experience.


The Production Manager plays a pivotal role in steering the seamless execution of projects within the Experiential division of the company, from initial client briefing to final delivery. Responsible for overseeing all operational and logistical aspects, the Production Manager guarantees that projects are completed within stipulated timelines, and budgetary constraints, and up to the high-quality standards expected by both the company and its clients. The role involves active participation in departmental operations, refining processes, live project budgeting, maintaining agency quality control, and managing relationships with third-party suppliers/vendors. An additional key aspect of the position is nurturing the growth of more junior team members within the Operations and Production functions through continuous mentoring and development initiatives.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage various elements of large-scale projects from planning to execution and oversee small to mid-scale projects.
  • Collaborate with account teams to ensure seamless project delivery, meeting client objectives and budget expectations.
  • Cultivate and manage vendor relationships across audio, lighting, staging, registration, graphics, event flow, creative, food and beverage, transportation, staffing, venue, and labor.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding roles, responsibilities, budget, schedules, and project status.
  • Ensure accurate project budgeting and meet expected financial targets.
  • Develop production schedules, run shows, and enforce deliverable dates crucial to program success.
  • Manage and develop relationships with trusted suppliers and third parties throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented environment based on the company culture and values.
  • Ensure completion of all project processes and procedures while upholding quality standards.
  • Attend conferences and tradeshows to enhance industry knowledge, ensuring Interluxe offers best-in-class programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure agency suppliers align with Interluxe standards of sustainability, ethical purchasing, quality control, and pricing structure.
  • Work with the Director of Production to select and recruit appropriate suppliers for each project, as agreed with account teams.
  • Oversee successful supplier delivery throughout each project.
  • This position involves an expected travel commitment of 80%.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant and progressively responsible operations experience, preferably in experiential, automotive, sports, or entertainment.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with all team members.
  • Open-minded and agile; encourages thorough exploration of ideas.
  • A focused, strong-minded individual with the ambition to contribute to the company's growth.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a continuous "can-do" attitude.
  • Results-oriented with a strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally – up to 80%. Must have a valid passport or be able to obtain a valid passport for purposes of international business travel.
