The Building Construction Products division at Caterpillar is a global organization responsible for design, manufacture, and support of Caterpillar's line of small, versatile construction equipment and Work Tools (attachment) and we have an excellent career accelerating opportunity in our Waco, TX facility as a Quality Manager supporting this critical work!

As the Quality Manager, you will drive Quality initiatives in facility operations, supplier Quality, and materials technology.  You will ensure conformity to global Quality processes defined in the Caterpillar Quality Management System (CQMS), day to day management of Quality resources, and ensure the team is well trained and competent.

Specifically in this role you can expect to:

  • Develop your team to build strong employee engagement and create positive and productive team culture.
  • Support New Product Initiatives (NPI) from the Quality perspective
  • Ensure the facility’s products meet Caterpillar specifications through material inspection and managing Quality processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on supplier Quality issues and improvements.
  • Manage projects that may include CQMS, BIQ and ISO certifications.
  • Ensure alignment to CPS (Caterpillar Production System) concepts.

To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic qualifications):

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering/Manufacturing with an excellent understanding of Quality Management practices OR 5 years of experience in Quality Management
  • Knowledge of Assembly and Logistics Operations procedures is required.
  • Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department.

Top candidates will also bring:

  • Experience with Quality Management Systems; ideally CQMS.
