Timeline:  

The internship program will run from Monday, June 3rd, 2024, to Friday, August 9th, 2024.

Your Day to Day:  

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:  

  • Gaining hands-on experience and learn business-to-business sales including all aspects of a consultative sales model  

  • Supporting sales projects, research, and presentations to ensure successful execution of various business strategies  

  • Partnering with the broader sales team to provide solutions and initiate efforts to improve process efficiencies 

  • Providing client services support and collaborating with internal business partners to meet customer sales and service needs 

You will be empowered to contribute in a meaningful way, add new value to organization initiatives and effect change. Your placement within the Sales Internship Program will be within Retirement Strategies, Individual Life Insurance, or Group Insurance.  

Retirement Strategies (Newark, NJ Hybrid; Dresher, PA Hybrid; Shelton, CT Hybrid): The Retirement Strategies team at Prudential delivers industry-leading solutions for growth and protection to more than 2 million individual and institutional customers.  The Retirement Strategies business is comprised of Individual Retirement Strategies and Institutional Retirement Strategies   

Individual Life Insurance (Minneapolis, MN Hybrid; Hartford, CT Hybrid) - Prudential’s Individual Life Insurance group focuses on offering competitive solutions to meet the needs of consumers through the manufacturing and distribution of a diverse portfolio of life insurance products.   

 

Group Insurance (Newark, NJ Hybrid; Virtual) Prudential’s Group Insurance manufactures and distributes a full range of group life, long-term and short-term group disability, voluntary, and group corporate, bank and trust owned life insurance in the U.S. primarily to institutional clients for use in connection with employer plans and affinity groups. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program graduating between December 2024 and May 2026 

  • Open to all majors 

  • Prudential does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Successful candidates must possess the requisite US employment authorization to be eligible for consideration 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both oral and written) 

  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, and time management skills  

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
