Our Finance Leadership Development Program Professionals deliver a wide range of financial management direction and services to a variety of business partners including suppliers, subsidiaries, business units, independent dealers and customers.

The Finance Analyst role within this Program is given opportunities in a variety of finance related areas which may include: managing multi-currency cash flows and bank accounts, managing foreign exchange/commodity risk, executing an investment strategy for our multi-billion dollar retirement funds, analyzing the financial strength of suppliers, mitigating Caterpillar’s corporate property and casualty insurance risks, developing new treasury technology solutions, and working with our worldwide independent dealers to improve their financial results.

Professionals within the Program must be willing to travel up to 25% for business purposes.  Participants within the Program will generally be rotated to new roles while in the Program through a balance of development needs, business needs and timing.

Applicants will be considered for positions throughout the United States.  Program positions are generally based in Treasury/Finance locations of Peoria, Illinois; Nashville, Tennessee; and Irving, Texas.  Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduated from a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance; Finance in Agri-business, Economics, or other Business or Technology majors with a minimum of 18 hours of finance coursework completed
  • 1 year full-time Finance-related work experience
  • Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (both Finance GPA & Cumulative GPA)
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% for business purposes

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous finance internship and/or work experience
  • Strong initiative, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel
  • Leadership involvement in student associations
  • Willingness to relocate throughout career
