Associate Finance Manager, Corporate Strategy, Marmaxx

As part of our team at Marmaxx, you will manage, oversee and drive strategic financial initiatives for a multibillion dollar business line. Additionally, you will manage a team of Financial Analysts & Senior Financial Analysts to assist Senior Leadership with driving business decisions. Day-to-day, you will have the opportunity to drive strategic decisions for the leading off-price retailer in the world.

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously that will be reviewed by Senior Executives. Further, thinking critically, analyzing effectively and communicating efficiently is required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Through a combination of individual contributor and manager work, lead the processes and activities of the Business Analysis team to ensure effective, efficient and accurate analytics and reporting
  • Manage and mentor associates on training and professional development
  • Build relationships with senior operational partners across the business
  • Coordinate the workloads to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Oversee and perform financial analysis on projects & new initiatives
  • Drive the development of analytical models to forecast and understand short and long term trends
  • Lead & present all aspects of analysis to the CFO, COO and President to help make fact-based decisions
  • Deliver strategy and recommendations on various initiatives across all levels of Management
  • Deliver presentations with strong messaging and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Responsible for standard reporting with strong attention to detail

Potential Projects:

  • Guide long-term supply chain strategy
  • Evaluate new markets for business expansion to drive accelerated store growth
  • Ensure profitable store growth through financial analyses and real estate review
  • Implement new technologies to provide business insights and drive top-line growth

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in Corporate finance, FP&A, Consulting, Investment banking, or other related fields
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred; MBA a plus
  • Prior experience leading teams (formally or informally) in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint presentation development skills; ability to develop robust interactive Excel models independently
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to deliver insights, recommendations, and results concisely and effectively to Executive Level management
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, remove obstacles, and maintain focus in complicated situations to deliver results for self and team
  • Promotes collaboration within team & cross-functionally and actively finds opportunities for improvements
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, including a high level of attention to detail and the ability to drive & lead change
  • Proven track record leading a team in prioritizing tasks and delivering results while handling multiple priorities in a constantly evolving environment
  • Drives developing key business strategies/priorities and clearly articulates the strategic vision with appropriate detail, building commitment to execute against it
