Associate Director - Tax Technology

This position is responsible ensuring that the tax professionals in our Company's Tax Department are supported in their missions to automate and streamline processes. 

Under supervision of the Tax Director, incumbent will manage multiple projects utilizing various software tools:

including but not limited to:

  • Alteryx,

  • MS Power Automate,

  • Teams,

  • SharePoint,

  • Corptax Office, &

  • OneSource Data Flow.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts with multiple teams/stakeholders and deliver solutions with impact across the Tax organization in a quick-and-nimble fashion; manage competing needs and timelines

  • Have a deep understanding of business processes, data, and workflows.

  • Must envision and implement a long-term strategy that focuses on process improvement through self-manageable data/process automation solutions

  • Assist tax teams in creating analytics/visualizations in order to better understand the data they are working with.

  • Assist in identifying future technology needs, including opportunities for process improvements, automation, efficiency gains, and application of process and technology best practices.

  • Develop and deliver end user training and maintain user documentation of all tax technology.

  • Collaborate in creating automation solutions to ensure compliance with new tax laws such as Pillar 2 and public CBCR data.

  • Ensure compliance, controls, security, and sustainability remain forefront in solution implementations.

  • Supporting the Tax Operations, Tax Planning, Transfer pricing and Tax Audit groups as needed.

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration or related field preferred)

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 5 plus years’ experience in a Big 4 Firm and/or Fortune 500 Tax department

  • 3 plus years’ experience in process improvement and data automation

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in SharePoint design and administration

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Suite and tax software experience (OneSource, Microsoft Suite Apps, Power Automate)

  • Motivated mindset and the ability to work independently

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to understand both Tax and IT terminology

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • ERP software experience (HFM, including Smartview excel Add-In & SAP)

  • Fundamental knowledge and understanding of U.S. taxation concepts (ASC 740)

  • Experience with project management.

  • Intermediate/Advanced Alteryx Certification

  • Basic/Intermediate knowledge and understanding of Corptax Office and Import functions
