Primary Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integrated geological evaluation of existing and undeveloped reservoirs
  • Develop static models (where applicable).
  • Work interactively with the reservoir engineer to create resource recovery estimates and associated production profiles.
  • Monitor and influence development plans
  • Provide independent technical assessments and work as COP geoscience interface with operators (where applicable).
  • Prepare documentation for corporate reviews at key approval gates.

HSE Roles:

  • Comply with HSE policies, Life Saving Rules, procedures, goals and programs within the MBU HSE Management System.
  • Actively engage in and contribute to HSE communication and consultation processes.
  • Actively participate in HSE initiatives and programs that include but not limited to, Safety Observations and HSE Trainings
  • Support company sustainability development (SD) initiatives and other environmental policies and practices.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in geoscience.
  • Over 15 years with broad experience in field development and appraisal.

Preferred Skills & Experiences:

  • Broad geoscience knowledge base with experience in development and exploration.
  • Experience in Malaysia basins.
  • Competency in Petrel geomodelling and seismic and Petrel/Landmark interpretation software.
  • Geologic experience on multi-disciplinary teams handling field developments.
  • Creative thinker and strong business sense.
  • Good communication skills, strong team player, a high level of self-motivation and the ability to influence are all critical to this job.
