Work will include overseeing a performance Trading Network (deploying new solutions, performance monitoring, upgrading), fixing and analyzing technical problems, and researching new technologies either for implementation or to build better. • Responsible for researching and recommending network operating procedures and standards to assure optimum network systems availability and performance 
• Provide a high level of technical leadership for our client's LAN and WAN environment. 
• Perform independent research to identify and recommend networking and related products, software products, and service vendors.  
• Perform project management and other special assignments as determined by the Manager, Network Engineering. 
• Research and prepare direction papers for the LAN and WAN environments. 

• The team is looking for a Network Engineer to Plan, design, and develop local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across high-performance trading environments. He or she will ensure proper installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links as well as accurately analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely manner. 
•  Development and design of highly available, tightly integrated, secure, flexible, and fault-tolerant networking systems. 
• Monitors network performance to ensure capacity planning is performed and is proactive in assessing and recommending improvement.  
• Design, plan, and implement data communications networks using the latest technology to prepare for business growth. 
• Researches and evaluates new network communications technologies and makes recommendations to management. 

•  Perform physical setup, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network devices. 
• Updates and documents data communications systems and procedures as required. 
• Manages small to large network projects. 
• Develop solid designs that are vendor agnostic for performance trading 
•  Design, plan, and implement multicast routing for exchange ticket data.  

• 10+ years of Financial Trading industry experience. 
• 10+ years of experience providing network architectural leadership. 
• 3+ years of experience working with cloud-based infrastructures (AWS & Azure) 

• Senior-level experience with multipath networking and tuning of NIC cards to optimize multicast and unicast traffic. 
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools. 
• Extensive experience with the following technologies BGP, iWAN, DMVPN, EIGRP, MPLS, VRF, QoS, PBR, VSS, HSRP, STP, Cisco Meraki stack, WAN Optimization technologies and Cisco Nexus
