Roles and Responsibilities

  • Organize and lead the maintenance team during breakdowns and preventative maintenance
  • Develop work procedures for equipment interventions and how to be operated
  • Responsible for fulfilling required maintenance as planned
  • Develop preventative maintenance schedule in accordance with equipment manuals and statistical data or other data available
  • Build data records relevant for maintenance (used in planning of PM, buying spare parts, etc.)
  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of the equipment in accordance with the instructions stipulated in the technical books of the equipment
  • Build and keep the spare parts inventory in accordance with needs and data available
  • Keep the records according to internal quality procedures for each equipment (quality system)
  • Monitor (inspect, control) the activities of the contracted maintenance services for equipment and facility; contact contractors when needed and organize their interventions at the site. Participate at discussions to solve technical disputes when they arise.   
  • Report to direct supervisor on any issues regarding installation, usage, maintenance and repairs regarding equipment
  • Lead and participate in lean / improvement projects
  • Actively participate at equipment installations and performed all activities derived from (commissioning, organize and performed any work for needed utilities, introducing/ implementing the equipment into the maintenance system, etc)
  • Organize any work for facilities to assure the good functioning and utilization of the buildings as well as keep the assets in a good shape
  • Perform all activities related to under-pressure vessels, cranes and other equipment under ISCIR legislation in order to use the equipment in compliance with Iraq's local and internal (GE)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in engineering studies, preferably Automation or Electronics
  • Industrial experience in maintenance and knowledge about production machines
  • Fluency in English and Romanian
  • Self–directed and motivated
  • Able to manage work-load across several activities
  • Willingness to learn and open-minded
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships
