About The Role

Essity North America is looking for a Product Developer for the Incontinence Pants team within R&D Personal Care to meet the consumer customer and business needs, ensuring manufacturability, cost efficiency, and product superiority. We as a team translate consumer needs into product functions and further into technical solutions. We offer you a chance to work in a global company, to develop both your technical and leadership skills as part of a global, creative, curious, and supportive team.

As a Product Developer, you will:

• Lead the development work of new or existing products to meet consumer and business needs.
• Secure that the solution has strong manufacturability.
• Propose, verify, and validate product solutions meeting set project scope.
• Support consumer testing and take part in translating learnings into consumer and customer needs.
• Be a core team member in innovation projects from early idea generation to launch.
• Support or lead R&D enabling projects to develop solutions and improve the state of readiness for future innovations.
• Plan and execute test runs in the factory and on pilot machines at Essity or our machine suppliers.
• Lead technical substantiation work for claims.
• Work together with global colleagues in the fields of product, process and material development, Lab, manufacturing, product safety, and regulation.

Key Competencies

• Bachelor's degree within a technical field, preferably Mechanical, Industrial Design, Chemistry, or equivalent within the relevant practice
• Minimum of 3 years experience in product development, product life cycle management, or similar relevant experience
• Experience in project management is beneficial.
• Experience in using modeling and simulation tools in product development is valuable.

Personal Skills And Capabilities

• We are looking for someone who can take the lead for the NA Underwear product development, and be flexible in supporting local initiatives while still making sure it fits the global product structure.
• We are looking for someone who enjoys working in teams, is open-minded, and has a problem-solving approach.
• You should have a passion for product development and understand process/production opportunities and restrictions and interest in consumer, business, and marketing aspects of the development work as well as a strong technical competence.
• You should have the ability to have a holistic view relate well to different cultures and build good relations on all levels.
• In addition, we want someone with good communication skills and strong self-leadership capability.
