Role Summary:

As the Director, Finance, this individual will be a key member of the leadership team. The Director will participate in operating meetings, partner with key stakeholders in analyzing and reviewing the financial impact of key business decisions for our diverse portfolio of restaurants. This is an exciting role that requires a strategic thinker and exceptional leader. Some areas of responsibility include overseeing all aspects of the division operating, capital, and workforce planning (headcount) planning process in collaboration with HR, coordinates the budget and financial results to ensure compliance with corporate financial guidelines, policies and procedures.

This position reports to the CFO and partners with senior leadership, including our most senior level executives, and will lead a finance team across all of RDG’s practice areas. We are seeking a highly energetic, self-starter with a minimum of 8+ years of progressive Finance experience in a luxury restaurant, hotel or hospitality setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the CFO and senior management to build a financially conscious leadership team.
  • Develop short- and long-term financial goals and objectives consistent with RDG’s overall strategy.
  • Lead the financial planning and budgeting process for food and beverage support functions while developing controls and reports that focus managers on key metrics and financial performance.
  • Develop various financial forecasts, modeling and long-term strategies.
  • Serves as a liaison to the Finance team while providing financial and strategic support to the Board.
  • Maintains and oversees the day to day financial and accounting operations of the group, ensures appropriate finance and accounting systems are in place to maintain effective internal controls for the organization.
  • Ensures payroll reports and tax filings are prepared and filed on a timely basis.
  • Utilize forward looking models and activity-based analysis to provide financial insight into the groups plans and operating budgets.
  • Oversight of RDG’s payroll function and wage/hour compliance.
  • Ensures meaningful financial reporting is presented to senior leadership.
  • Authorizes expenditures and purchases within the groups budget and gains approval for any expenditures outside of the budget from the CEO or CFO.
  • Manages bills, reconciliations, payroll, tax preparation support, general ledger and financial statement preparation.
  • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems.
  • Create Quality earing reports (EBITDA), including direct analysis of working capital, quality of net assets, forecast analysis, debt and near debt items, sales margin, inventory and food cost control.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of senior level Finance, Accounting or related management experience within the luxury food & beverage, hotel, or hospitality industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience/training
  • Advanced degree (MBA) or advanced certification (CPA) highly desirable.
  • Demonstrates the highest standards of personal ethics and integrity.
  • Highly experienced in budget management or financial reporting
  • Demonstrated experience with payroll and financial reporting data and retrieval
  • Ability to enhance, lead, and drive change within the Finance team.
  • Knowledge of processing payroll and exposure to US payroll compliance (especially Florida)
  • Strong experience creating and presenting strategic financial strategies.
  • Previous experience in public accounting or professional services industries preferred
