Description

We are currently seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for designing intuitive, high-performance user interfaces specifically for medical imaging devices. This role involves close collaboration with software developers and clinical experts to create and refine user interfaces that enhance the interaction between medical professionals and advanced medical imaging technologies. This is a full time on-site position and will require reporting to our offices located in Campbell, CA.


Responsibilities, Skills & Hands-On Experience

  • User Interface Design: Design and develop user interfaces for medical imaging devices, focusing on usability, performance, and responsiveness.
  • Collaboration with Development Team: Work closely with software developers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and efficiently, iterating based on user feedback and testing.
  • Medical Imaging Expertise: Leverage your experience with ultrasound technology to create interfaces that are tailored to the needs of medical professionals using these systems.
  • Prototyping: Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design concepts and test user interactions.
  • Design Best Practices: Implement and advocate for good design practices, ensuring low latency, fast feedback, and high user satisfaction.
  • User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions, ensuring that interfaces meet the needs of end-users.
  • Cross-Platform Design: Develop interfaces for both desktop and mobile platforms, ensuring consistency and usability across devices.


Preferred Skills & Hands-On Experience

  • Ultrasound Technology: Experience working with ultrasound imaging technology is highly desirable.
  • UI/UX Design Tools: Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Prototyping Tools: Experience with prototyping tools such as InVision, Axure, or similar.
  • Medical Device Design: Previous experience in designing user interfaces for medical devices is a plus.
  • User Research: Strong skills in conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering user feedback.
  • Design Best Practices: Demonstrated understanding of design principles and best practices, particularly in the context of medical applications.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on creating user-centered design solutions.


Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in UI/UX design, specifically for complex applications, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing user interfaces, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
  • Experience in the software development process, including participation in design studies and usability testing.


Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider current market rate, and title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $150,000 to $190,000 + equity + benefits.
